HALL, LINDA LOU, 62


HALL, LINDA LOU, 62, of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly at Central Vermont Medical Center from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on January 25. Born in Johnson on April 9, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Winford and Marion (Lafley) Corey. On July 10, 1965, she married John "Sonny" Hall, Jr. in Waterbury. Linda was a 1965 graduate of Waterbury High School. Following her marriage she began work at the Vermont State Hospital, first as a psychiatric technician and later as a secretary, from which she retired. Linda was a long time volunteer "red phone" operator for the Waterbury Ambulance Service and was an active member of the Waterbury Village Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. In her leisure time she enjoyed cooking, was an avid bingo player and cherished the many gatherings at her home with her close and loving family. Linda is survived by her husband, Sonny Hall of Waterbury; two children, Sonja Bracey and husband Kevin of Morrisville, and Cass Bresette and wife Shelly of Barre; three grandchildren, Justin Merchant, Karly Bresette and Sara Bresette; a great-grandson, Isaiah Fernandez; her brother, Roger Corey and wife Paula of Franklin; as well as nieces, nephews and extended family. She was predeceased by three brothers, Winford Corey, Jr., Cedric Corey and Ronald Corey; and two sisters, Audrey Curtis and Sylvia Corey.
