FASSETT, MARIE ANN, 71
FASSETT, MARIE ANN, 71, of Montpelier, died January 24 at her home. Born April 17, 1938, in Marshfield, she was the daughter of Antonio and Flora (Sulham) Govea and had attended Marshfield schools. She had been married to Robert Fassett and they later divorced. A child care worker, she had provided day care for many years in the central Vermont area as well as having been a school crossing guard in Barre City. Reading, watching television and sports were her special interests. She had been affiliated with the First Baptist Church of Barre and the Barre Salvation Army. Survivors include her three sisters, Jean Boyce of Graniteville, Priscilla Sherman of Berlin and Phyllis Govea of the Berlin Health and Rehabilitation Center, and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Manuel and Antonio Govea Jr. and three sisters, Alice DeMaio, Alma Williams and Joy Fletcher.
