NADEL, GEOFFREY, 44
NADEL, GEOFFREY, 44, of Marshfield, died January 13 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, surrounded by his family, following a fierce battle against cancer. He was born Nov. 27, 1965, in Hampton, Va., the son of Arthur Nadel and Mavis Clark. Mr. Nadel was a tireless advocate for the disadvantaged, a champion of any breed of underdog, and unceasingly generous to those he loved. He spent the majority of his time coloring outside the lines. He had just started what he hoped would be a motorcycle restoration and building business when his illness was diagnosed. Mr. Nadel was a staunch supporter of the programs at Twinfield Union School, where his beloved daughters are students. Despite his own discomfort in a traditional academic surrounding, he never failed, before his illness, to attend school events, and enthusiastically applauded the creative opportunities it offers students. Survivors include his wife Anne (Abrams) Nadel of Marshfield, whom he married in 1990; two daughters, Holly and Danya of Marshfield; his brother, Chris Nadel, and wife, Amy, of Atlanta, Ga.; his father, Arthur Nadel of New York, N.Y.; his mother-in-law, Sheila Abrams of Schooley's Mountain, N.J.; and many good friends, including his best friend, Calem Romasco of Plainfield. He was predeceased by his mother, Mavis Clark, and his father in-law, Bernard Abrams.
