SANCIBRIAN, JOSEPH W., 71, of Berlin, died January 18 at his home, having been ill for 18 months. Born in Barre City on July 8, 1938, he was the son of Frank and Frances (Baldwin) Sancibrian. He attended Barre Schools and graduated from Spaulding High School in 1956. Joe had been a 35-year employee of the former Coca Cola Bottling Company of Barre and 10 years with the Farrell Distributing Company in Burlington. For the past six years, he worked for the Capital Candy Company. He had been a service representative and later was service manager. Hunting, fishing and tinkering were his hobbies. A veteran of United States Air Force service, he served from June 1956 to April 1960 and was discharged as an Airman 2nd Class. While stationed in Germany, he was a member of the Air Force Boxing Team, fighting as a lightweight. He had been a member of the Barre American Legion Post #10 Drum and Bugle Corps, and held longtime membership in the Mutuo Inc. of Barre and Barre Elks Lodge #1535. Besides his beloved partner, Wanda Baril, with whom he shared his home, he leaves his son Brad Sancibrian and wife, Rebecca, of Barre Town; his daughter Stacia Limlaw of Lowell; and five grandchildren. Also surviving are four brothers and their spouses, Frank and Tucky Sancibrian, Richard and Lona Sancibrian, Bill and Sheryl Sancibrian, and Alan and Sherry Sancibrian; and his only sister Theresa and Steve Webster; and nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother Wallace Sancibrian.
