An Endorsement for Jon Anderson

I am writing this endorsement for Jon Anderson as representative to the Legislature from Montpelier. I have worked with Jon when we were both on the Montpelier Planning Commission. I found that Jon gathers the facts, and arrives at a well-reasoned decision.
Jon was appointed by Governor Douglas to replace Francis Brooks. In his first week as representative, Jon showed his individualism. On a supplemental appropriations bill that came before the House, Jon was told that the Democratic caucus was supporting one position. Jon, through his research, stated that he could not support the party decision.
To me, this vote of Jon showed his independence to follow his own research. I know Jon listens to all sides of the issues. As an independent voter, I hope that Jon Anderson will remain a Motpelier representative in the Legislature this coming year.
