Duke, Louise, 92
Duke, Louise, 92, died December 21, in Montpelier. She was born Florence Louise Lewis in St. Albans on Aug. 1, 1917, the youngest daughter of George and Florence (Hatch) Lewis. Louise was educated in St. Albans schools and Burlington Business College. She was employed at the National Life Insurance Company. She was a member of Bethany Church. Louise enjoyed volunteer work at the library and the Red Cross and was an avid reader. She was married to Carroll L. Duke in 1943, he died in 1980. Two children were born of this union, Jeffrey Lewis Duke, and William James Duke. They survive her, as well a niece and several nephews. She was predeceased by a sister and a brother.
