Vermont Needs New Leadership

Anthony Pollina is right in saying, “The old solutions are not working. It is going to take a different kind of coalition.”
With the many urgent challenges facing Vermont from climate change to costs of fuel to heat our homes we really need to replace Governor Does Less who has shown a lack of bold leadership when we need it most. We can’t afford two more years of weak or no action. However, with both Anthony and Gaye Symington running for governor there is little hope of defeating Does Less.  Anthony has proven his ability to solve problems over many years of dedicated work including most recently helping to found the Vt. Milk Company, no easy task. Anthony is working to build the coalitions he needs to win. He is listening to people and developing his campaign in a way that goes straight to the issue, welcomes everyone as equals, and is bigger than the parties. Gaye Symington should put defeating Does Less above party politics and either drop out of the race or switch to running for Lt. Governor. Then we would have a strong team that would offer a good possibility for putting new and stronger leadership in place.
