MANNING, VIRGINIA MAY, 84, of Randolph, died July 27 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. She was born July 2, 1925, in Randolph, the daughter of Kneeland C. and Hazel (Davenport) Olmstead. She was married to Wayne Manning on May 18, 1943, in Rochester. She was a dairy farmer with her husband all of her married life. He died in 1980. She enjoyed bowling, flower gardening and doing crafts and was a member of the Early Bird and Seniorette Bowling Leagues. Survivors include her sons Wayne Manning, Jr. of South Royalton, Glenn Manning of Chelsea, Theron Manning of South Royalton and Gene Manning of Orange; daughters Peggy Caldwell of Barre Town, Sandra Flint of Sharon and Betty Poulin of Williamstown; as well as 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers, Henry, Franklin and Kneeland Olmstead.
