LAFOUNTAIN, LINDA LEE HENRY, 57,


LAFOUNTAIN, LINDA LEE HENRY, 57, of Barre Town,   passed away June 19 at her home, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Born in Barre on Jan. 20, 1952, she was the daughter of Bernard and Roseanne (Mietlicki) Henry. Linda attended St. Monica's School and Spaulding High School. She later attended Truck Driving School in Pennsylvania and briefly drove 18-wheeler trucks. She also worked as a waitress for restaurants in the Barre  and Montpelier area. Her last employment was for Washington County Mental Health until retiring due to ill health. On July 29, 1989, she married Steve LaFountain Sr. in Orange. They made their home in Orange before moving to Barre Town in 1998. Linda enjoyed working with stained glass, redecorating her home, gardening and garage sales. She enjoyed taking care of people, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with family and friends and vacationing in Maine. She loved her pet dogs, Lucy, Scruffy, Cindy, Scooter and Liz; her Siamese cats, Suki and Tye. Survivors include her husband of 20 years, Steve LaFountain Sr. of Barre Town; a  son, Cody A.J. LaFountain and companion Jennifer Pinkans; a daughter, Jaimie Lee LaFountain and husband Tim Gardner, all of Barre; two stepsons, Steve LaFountain Jr. of Morrisville and Lloyd M. LaFountain II of Georgia. She is also survived by three grandchildren; four brothers, Randy Henry of East Barre, Dennis and Steve Henry of Williamstown, and Jared Henry of Barre; four sisters, Laurie Garrison, Lynnette Damble, Roseanne Gozdziak and Joanne Tarquin, all of New York; as well as many nieces, nephews and other family members. Besides her parents she was predeceased by one brother, Walter Mietlicki.
