LAIDLEY, SYLVIA DODGE, 87
LAIDLEY, SYLVIA DODGE, 87, died at Haven Health Center of Willimantic, Conn., on June 20. Born in Chelsea on Aug. 8, 1921, she was the daughter of Alfred and Clara (Hemenway) Dodge. She graduated from Chelsea High School in 1938, and moved to Franklin, Conn. She married Fred Laidley. He predeceased her on Sept. 15, 1992. She worked for many years for American Thread Company in Willimantic. She was a member of Franklin Congregational Church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and attending local horse pulling events. She was predeceased by a sister, Ruth Button of Chelsea. She is survived by her nephews and nieces, six great-nieces, and two great- nephews, along with three great-great-nieces.
