GODDARD, EVERETT W., 82
GODDARD, EVERETT W., 82, of East Hardwick, died peacefully June 11, at his home. He was born Jan. 27, 1927, in Glover, the son of the late W. Henry and Devona (Dawson) Goddard. He attended Walden public schools. He entered the U.S. Army on April 11, 1945 at Fort Devens, Mass. He served with "A" company 390th Military Police Battalion in occupied Germany. Everett was honorably discharged on Oct. 17, 1946, at Fort Dix, N.J. He assisted his father on the family dairy farm in Walden, and worked for Sam Daniel's Manufacturing in Hardwick, the Town of Hardwick Road Crew and Ethan Allen Manufacturing in Orleans. Everett was a life member of the American Legion Post #7 of Hardwick He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. Survivors include his companion Lorraine Gomes of East Hardwick; a sister Dorothy Johnson of Phoeniz, Ariz.; nieces, nephews and cousins.
