BACON, ARLENE L., 69
BACON, ARLENE L., 69, of Barre, passed away at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital on June 12. She was born on Jan. 24, 1940, in St. Albans, the daughter of Lyle and Eva (King) Rowland. On Oct. 6, 1956, she married Kenneth Bacon. Arlene loved to go fishing and camping. She was an avid bird watcher and gardener. When not outside, she loved to do her knitting, sewing and crocheting. She also enjoyed dancing to country music, and Fluffy her favorite cat, who passed away just two days after she went into the hospital. She is survived by her seven children: Douglas Bacon and wife Candy of Barton, Susan Bacon and friend Ron Boutin of Glover, Richard Bacon and wife Becky of Ashby, Mass., Kim Bacon of Winchendon, Mass., Cynthia Bacon of Barre City, Kenneth Bacon and wife Kim of Barton, and Mary Bacon Kittredge and husband Mike of Plainfield; her 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Cecil Rowland of Williamstown, Mass., sister, Elaine Luchassi and husband Arthur of Williamstown, Mass., and brother-in-law, Robert Tucker of Lunenburg, Mass. She was predeceased by her parents, a sister Barbara Tucker and a granddaughter Casie Mason.
