Paul Mailman Montpelier Ten Miler This Sunday
The 35th annual Paul Mailman Montpelier Ten Miler, the oldest continuously held running race in Central Vermont, will be held this Sunday, June 28, at 8:45am, starting at the Montpelier High School. The Central Vermont Runners Club and Onion River Sports are co-sponsors of the race. It is the third race in the CVR Onion River Sports Series 2009.
The out and back race is over a flat course with a few rolling hills, partially on the Montpelier Bike Path and continuing on mostly dirt roads with limited car traffic. The course starts and finishes on the Montpelier High School track.
Course records are the following:
• Open Male - Jim Miller, 50.09
• Open Female - Leatrice Sikora Hayer, 55.58
• Master Male - Jim Miller, 55.29
• Master Female - Moira Durnin, 63.09
Prizes will be awarded to top finishers, male and female, in individual age categories. The entry fee is $15. Applications and further information is available on the Central Vermont Runners website: www.cvrunners.org
