THURSTON, GAIL A., 59, died unexpectedly June 7, at Gifford Medical Center in Randolph. She was born June 3, 1950, in Roxbury, the daughter of George Sr. and Alberta (Pierce) Thurston. She attended Braintree schools. Following her education she worked at Ethan Allen in Randolph. She was married to Gerald Burnham Jan. 2, 1970, they were later divorced. She worked as a farm hand on the HI-LO Farm in Randolph Center and for the Town of Randolph at the landfill. She loved fishing, animals and was an avid Elvis Presley fan. She was a member of the Country Travelers CB Club. She is survived by her husband, Charles Gaudette of Randolph; two daughters, Lisa Gelzer of Windham, Maine, and Jen Burnham of Northfield; seven step-daughters, Penny Gaudette of Concord, N.H., Brenda Gaudette of Wheelock, Sheila Kelson of Hartland, Nancy Sutton of Windsor, Amy Preston of Washington, Debbie Gaudette and Viola Farrington of Braintree; two step-sons, Charles Gaudette, Jr. of Orleans and Bill Gaudette of Ft. Drum, N.Y., three brothers, Charles Thurston of Middlebury, James Thurston of Hancock and Douglas Thurston of Braintree; a sister, Bonnie Davis of Braintree; 38 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; a daughter, Theresa Burnham; and a brother, George Thurston, Jr.
