Kids' Track Meet - Join the Fun on June 2nd!
Central Vermont Runners Club will be holding their 11th annual Kids' Track Meet on Saturday, June 2 at the Montpelier High School Track. All participants must register between 8:30 and 9:15 am, with events running from 9:30 to 11:30 am.
The event is open to all Central Vermont kids from pre-school through 6th grade. Kids will be divided into age groups based on the school year just completed: pre-school-kindergarten, 1st - 2nd grade, 3rd - 4th grade, and 5th - 6th grade. A parent must be present to grant permission for the child to participate.
The Kids' Track Meet will include a number of different events. There will be a mile run (3rd grade and older), half mile run (1st and 2nd grade), quarter mile run (all age groups), 100 meter dash (all age groups), long jump (all age groups), and softball throw (all age groups).
Admission to all events is free, and medals and ribbons will be awarded to all participants. Liquid refreshments will also be provided. For more information, call Norm Robinson (223-7351) or Tim Noonan (223-6216).
