A puzzle has many pieces that with time and patience are arranged and linked together, to form a beautiful picture. On March 7 -8, a puzzle a year in the making, that was fun, frustrating at times, and in the end, “phenomenal,” brought people of all ages, walks of life and some from as far away as Alaska and Colorado together for Relay For Life NordicStyle.
With the tremendous support of local businesses and media outlets, 39 teams, 312 participants and 100’s of volunteers came together to fight cancer. Relay For Life NordicStyle was a year in planning, lining up the pieces and putting them together during difficult times. With teamwork that spread across generations of those that cross country skied, snowshoed or walked the oval and trails in heavy rain, they persevered and completed the puzzle by raising over $75,000.00 that will go to cancer research, education, support groups and advocacy so future generations won’t have to hear “you have cancer.”
On behalf of Surviors we Celebrated… those lost to cancer we Rememberd… future generations we Fight Back for, the leadership committee of Relay For Life NordiStyle wants to “THANK YOU” for the phenomenal job you all did.
